design matters to me

Do you remember when you were a kid and you brought home that crayon drawing of your family from school? You know the one. The abstract stick-figures standing in front of a slightly skewed and very colorful house, complete with rays of sunshine, clouds, and those m-shaped birds. Do you remember that sense of pride you felt when your mom cleared a spot on the refrigerator and hung it there with those block letter magnets? I'm pretty sure that a part of me has been perpetually stuck in that place ever since. I don't know of any better way to explain why making cool stuff is so important to me, but it is. I take a lot of pride in making things that you would want to hang on your fridge.
